All for Love

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Peter is there, he tends the gate,
For him the obedience key,
But when love comes near to enter in,
He is met outside by Thee.

You snatch him up in Your arms,
He knows no longer can he be harmed,
He says it’s true, I know I’m free,
Because Your truth, it lives in me.

And then the gifts, the rewards of love,
They light on you as though a dove,
With wings of mercy and tender grace,
And all because you seek His face.

The comfort and peace, everlasting joy yours,
No longer resting on distant shores.

It’s home you’ve come to see your King,
He places on you a robe and a ring,
All this and more than you’ve dreamed of,
Is now all yours and all for Love.

The patience He has shown to you,
The kindness that you were not due,
Oh, the grace and mercy from God above,
It comes to you and all for love.

His chosen one, His bride to be,
Yes, all His love is all for thee!
