Dark of night

Tonight my dear i too sit in dark unknown corners
weighing truths against memories. Things we're told to believe don't hold up to the past we knew and loved Torn and twisted the days become a fog and the colors fade in the pictures we hold in our minds until they start to vanish. We know and hold the night we told of love and hate and tears of joy and pain. And not one good or bad we would ever take a lie to trade. Forced to bend our will to weighted hate just to appease a master that holds no thought of best interests but only to whip and beat into submission. I know why it is you cry when they're not looking, afraid your softly whimpered beast of emotion to wake the sleeping eyes of your captors. I too long for those memories back even for just a day, an hour, a second, to see the face of love and whimsy within my embrace. Oh sweet darling, what I would give to wipe those tears once again and show the truth you know and can not say. Things rarely play out to the extent we wish and dream to carry us away through the stars to the moon and back but what ever memories we lack always hold tight to this. My finger, my arm my entire being to hold once more just to make sure that this will last forever. And though I never hope to see tear shed from your eyes I do implore you cry, cry hard, cry loud. Make the truth known to never forget what we once owned in a life we shared of love and hate but suited us all the same. Scream loud and often, defy the lie that binds and bring us down to drown in servitude of self entitled crowns. Hold fast to the ground we once walked hand in hand running and jumping care free in each others company as if nothing else around existed to bring us down. Remember the truth we lived and not the pictures bled of color to benefit the self righteous needs of those who teach of ropes and chains. Bite the tongue were forced to swallow and spit fire at the those who teach it to us to burn the false personas they borrow to ensnare the hearts and mind of the blind. Remember what they have done and who they have done it to without shaded views to keep clear the eyes of the enemies and save the faces of the true love we shared. One day we will be free of the burdens we bare by those who refuse to carry the cross the have made to hang the ones they use every day. Free to again tell of love and joy and days past when we were truly shown how to shine in the summers sun. Oh my heart, my soul, my love, I wish nothing but hope and laughter and fun for you to the ends of time but for now we must hide and save what they try to steal from us to one day throw off the weights and say we've had enough. To remind us the way we should live, the way we want to dream, the future we need to create to make up for the years of transgressions placed upon us so we may not continue the cycles of pain. Believe in your heart and not the poison filling your brain, know you are not wrong for your thoughts and feelings and never push them aside to fulfill others attempts at spite and malice. You are not wrong, you are not what is told to you by those with hidden agendas just because they choose to use you to place themselves in a light they did not create or deserve. But most of all always know whatever you're told that nothing can be further from the truth on my blame, my anger, my neglect, my hate. Never did I create the feelings forced upon you to change your story and manipulate the already distorted history we have shared. Know that I will always see the light of days we chased without the haze and every moment spent within the blaze of life's eternal grace in the race of pursuing each other's aging face to the night we never wake. No matter what they say you will always be mine to the end of time and space and no man can ever take the way I see life now because you were brought into my view even for the few years we had together. Always remember.
