Hot wind

I remember seeking you like crickets in the summer sun, capturing them in hand prisons, looking through tiny peepholes then taking ear to their chirping and watching as they sprung across fields of swaying sun scorched grass, like the first time an alphabet is sung perfectly,
you wanting to show me things so eagerly.

This poem is absolutely breathtaking! The way the author compares their search for someone to the capture of crickets in hand prisons is so vivid and unique. The imagery of watching the crickets spring across the sun scorched grass is mesmerizing and truly paints a picture in the reader's mind. The comparison to the first time an alphabet is sung perfectly is also incredibly fitting, as it conveys the excitement and thrill of discovering something new and wonderful. And the final line, "you wanting to show me things so eagerly," is so heartwarming and full of enthusiasm. This poem is a true gem and left me feeling inspired and uplifted. Well done!
