The Homeless Lady

My smooth skin cuddled her frail form as the wind blew through her battered fingers when she reached out to me

I hesitated at the thought of her dinginess though compelled by some deep inner subconscious emotion.

As I pulled her from her shallow grave,
Instantly, I felt cold and hungry,
I saw pain and fear,
I was loneliness and death

The tears rolled down my cheeks as if freeing me from some horrid disease,

I felt cleansed

She looked into my eyes and I saw love

About this poem

This is a poem I wrote years ago. I think I was doing a lot of reflecting at the time.
