Down to Earth Again

Arrogant, erudite, you ridicule
Hurt, cut, deal most divisive our golden rule
Punitive, painful long to heal
Embarrassed, angry, hurt I feel
Your daring dress, creative color scheme
Not matched, so mishmash as vanilla cream
Extreme mascara, makeup very gross
A few extruding hairs from bottom of your nose
On cue, quick wit, cut your reply
Like acid anger, egg now in my eye
Touch tightly every fiber of my nerve
You over-talk and overact, throws me a curve
In fact, furtive exposition to demean
A touch of demented dictator and fiend
It's time to cringe and compliment
Show some remorse, forge on to a pleasant end
So, if you model modern in extreme
The vision vibrant can be seen
And I your ally, still an able friend
Will dare my duty, you I will defend
Back down to elevation of our earth
Awash with value and self-worth
I want to count you, admire and adjust
So please do not demean, demolish our trust
In you I do admire God-given gift
Your search for scholarly learning gives us a lift
Your level leadership leads beyond measure
So wonderful to see you use such talent, such treasure
