An Epoch of Time

Life is a clutter of confusion
Where dreams and fears collide
Amongst this sad gray darkness
And across these fast blue skies

The world is swiftly turning
Yet an epoch lumbers by
An array of peoples lives
At the hands of the ticking time

So let these sorrowed hours
Take a glance back once more
Before moving forward
And steadily closing the door

A sacred door towards which
Many lives shall end
Yet life is not over
A new generation begins

Time will do like always
Ticking life away
But it will glace back shortly
For hopes of a new and better day.
