Stand Strong

Dissatisfied with the past and
having thoughts of regret
I take a step out of the darkness,
to where the light may set

Reaching out for help, I face toward a friend
I take the risk of having the sadness end

Allowing the sun to shine through, this heart of coal
I take back my life and let the past go

My tears will become few as time lingers on,
I will stand strong
No more will I allow my past to do me wrong,
I will stand strong
