My Grandson

There’s magic in his little hands
I’ve seen it for myself
He brought to life  those antique toys
gathering dust upon the shelf

He brightened all their colors
and held them til they rang with joy
I’m telling you there’s magic
in the hands of this little boy

Why  I’ve seen him with the slightest touch
of his little hand on Grandma’s brow
turn her deepest darkest frown
into a smile somehow

I’m not sure where he got the power
and I doubt he’ll ever tell
but with his charming ways and magic hands
he holds all within his spell
