Together1: encounter

It was just perchance,
he was not free to dance.
P needed to find another partner,
I stepped in to cover his departure.
Perhaps this time I’d make an advance

We met outside and went in for the session,
was caught off guard by a group lesson.
P ran over to R and hugged her friend,
"Blah blah blah blah blah blah weekend".
I never heard, my eyes found an obsession
.
R moved so well in those heels high,
black dress so smooth over her thigh.
P was frustrated by the lack of attention
but she smiled with a cunning expression
I could not stop looking even when I try.

P said she was tired, needed a rest,
said if I could help R I’d be the best.
With my heart beating fast and loud,
I was sure I'd drown out the crowd.
Slid my arm on her waist, puffed out my chest

The next day was unusual, I asked P if she’d like to hang out
She said when she was ready she’d give me a shout
With a complete lack of subtlety
I ask her were that girl could be
P already planned bringing R, it's up to me from here on out.
