Gathering

Charles L. Porter 1953 (michigan)

Together they have come
Young and old
Boy and girl
To renew family ties
To share family stories
Remembering those who have passed
Meeting those just arrived
The young to play
And the old to sit and share
Thus parted family are joined
Even for a few hours
To be a family again
Leaving with renewed love
Thus it is with family
