fears

today we live in a world of fears
the always here fears
fear of being hurt physically
those all too reasonable ones
the ones always there
now we fear the stranger
the one of different skin
the ones whose color is not ours
whose language we don't know
so easy to learn in this world
so easy to use by some
and so hard to get rid of
but we must try
try or go down with the ignorant
we must love others
as the higher power has taught
find that love in yourself
and be loved by the world.
