Letting Go

Letting go is harder than most know
But being Let go is indescribable
Even when Letting go first it's still pains me to know

He let go after all he put me through
After all I've been through because of him too
Sure he did take long but if he truly cared I assumed it would take longer you see
Maybe never even though that's obscene

I'm starting to try to do better for myself
But with that comes letting go of the past
Which means remembering it
Reliving it

It's hard to go through it once so to go through it twice seems rough
But I'm tough and will make it through
And I will live my truth

So with that I end off with goodbye dad
Glad you let go
Now I can move on you know
Or maybe you don't care I don't know
