My Shower Is Waiting

Before my shower Naked and vulnerable
Yet proud, relaxed, free
Not much I can do about me! Somehow routine, with wash cloth
From face, neck all over
While hot water and soap pour over me
We all live only in one body
Mine - unique, special, now
Not lean anymore
Bit misshapen
Sit or stand - stark naked I can accept me
Do I have a choice?
Head unwieldy I am most comfortable unclothed
I smile
The shower is always great
Good riddance – refreshed – ready to go!
Imagine, a new day has just begun
