Ready To Go

Been quite a journey you know
Thank God for letting me on his show
Looking back I recall all that past
May have forgotten some very fast
I cannot say I’ve been there, done it all
Have done things, it’s been a long haul
Some of value, some maybe not at all
And at times, I too did have a ball

There is so much more one could do
But really ain’t much to look forward to
It’s the same wants, desires and greed
Just taking different forms to fulfil a need
Either as something new to achieve
Or just the same old shit that we heave
Why then there be any more desire to strive
For self-satisfaction, just because I’m alive
Or for another fancy feather in my hat
That lays in my closet like a doormat
Till when and why do I keep moving ahead
My life revolves around others instead

There are some great moments in life
Some repeat, some in memory alive
Moments are moments that quickly do pass
Is that all that’s left to live for alas
For how long do I ride this lonely swing
Bringing a smile on others is my only thing
It is not that I want to go
All I know is that, I’m ready to go

Mahesh Wadhwani

I always apologize for the length of my text as that’s the best way for me to communicate rather than verbally!! Not a man of many words but still manage to doodle when in mood to write, which is rare!! I am not even sure if what I scribble is poetry or even what form or just words that rhyme!! To me writing is an art, a sign of creativity and a means of expression. I don't really think that anyone can just write without any feelings, without having felt, without having lived, experienced or cherished. Whatever one writes, there is some amount of a persons own feelings and presence or of those around them, indicated in the works. So I am thankful to all the people in my life and those yet to come for having given me life, love, happiness and even pain. At-least I have had the opportunity to feel it , live it and express it, whatever it maybe. Cheers! more…
