Living Stones in Thy Temple -No.2

When I ponder what Christ did on the cross,
I am filled with unabated pathos.

Christ’s blood atoned for sin’s loss.
At Golgotha He paid mankind’s sins’ cost.

Near a creek covered with green moss,
Paths of neighbors crisscross.

Upon their hearts Christ’s love embossed,
Awakens spring after wintry frost.

While tempests surge, roll, and toss,
I await the day Christ carries me across.

Precious Savior, Help me bear my cross,
Take me to the mansion Thou hast prepared,
Make me a living stone in thy temple!
