Time Out
Jetsetters spend much time in the air
Wondering what's below, what's there
Oceans of wasteland yet to till
A curved earth we the people fill
Is it truly worth
Having so many of us here on earth
Or take this vision from the plane
And dutifully abstain?
Or sun lazily on the beach
Removing chains of the modern siege
Most precious time to think and rest
To revel and enjoy in your own nest
Those who contemplate and read
Fill in their life with study thoughtful seed
Vacation or retreats so necessary devised
Time for a person himself/herself be prized
Contemplate the meaning of self-worth
We know that time’s so short on this holy earth
Dig into the mind of any mature adult
And you will find and erratic genius
A sophisticated hidden voyager
ready to turn the world upside down
