Empty-Headed

The imbecile, the clown, and the hedonist
Particles of empty-headed romp around
Angels never did bless their head with a tender kiss
So audible, high pitch, the all-annoying sound
Some of these creatures so frivolous and silly
Ignore the danger, foolishness and pain
In frolic, rapacious laughs
Their empty lives sustain
And if a cute, cuddly lap dog
Our companionship must be
Our thoughts and action in a fog
Blind to the world to see
Thank god few nincompoops
The world does hope
And in some way gives recognition
They cannot cope (the dope)
Succumb in wasteland and derision
So steady, lucky YOU who think
So rational, with reason, motive and compulsion
Caution, yet full of hope and faith
Continue with future adventure unto special place
And in our imperfection find our human face
