ONE YEAR

You are the love of my life,
My world, best friend, and my wife.

You touched my soul your love is all I need,
You stuck your knife in my back you left me there to bleed.

You were the light, you took my hand walked me thru the dark,
Your love has destroyed me you left your evil mark.

It's been a year since you left me high and dry,
A lesson to learn once bitten twice shy.

When you come out of the haze your stronger then when you went in,
You feel like a new person a shedding of the skin.

I'm a different person then I was just a year ago'
I laugh less and cry more, I learn to let go.

The process is slow a day feels like ten years,
Everyday It's Blood, Sweat and more Tears.

Your head is as Fucked up as your Heart,
You are shattered and don't know where to start.

I want to run down there and make a big scene,
No more lies I need you to come clean.

I would over react and end up in county jail,
Go back down there as soon as I make bail.

That is just silly human Pride,
I take a deep breath, and hope to hit my stride.

I'm the only one left to deal with the pain,
I'm a loser down on lovers lane.
