IN THIS DARK AND LONELY PLACE

In this dark and lonely place
Shadowy beings are creeping,
Hunting after lone travellers
So that they can start reaping.

In alleyways and dark streets
Loathsome creatures wait,
Hoping to find passersby
About to meet a deadly fate.

In this dreadful, lonely town
Only losers call their home,
Where innocents surely avoid
And the wary completely disown.

Sinister beings are hunting
Beneath the red moon's glare,
Looking for any travellers
To add to their bill of fare.

Only the most unwary walk
Are outside after twilight falls,
While in the flickering shadows
Malevolent predators call.

In this dark and lonely place
Where only terror ever grows,
Good things surely stay away
And happiness is truly unknown.

Leviathan beings lumbering
Through the darkened streets,
Hunting for human beings
Hoping very soon to eat.

Lonely people shudder as
They hear behemoths shrill,
Unaware that death is closing in
Readying for the kill.
