OUT OF THE DARKNESS II

Out of the sinister darkness
Loathsome creatures slither,
Unnameable abominations which
Make the bravest man quiver.

Out of the pitch-black night
Malevolent beings pursuing,
After late-night travellers
A bloodbath soon ensuing.

Streets flowing with blood
As malignant terrors stalk,
Eviscerating all passersby
As through the night, they walk.

Following lone strangers
Who foolishly walk outside,
Under the blood moon's rays
On this, the night they'll die.

Out of the sinister darkness
Hunters stalk the late night,
Hoping for human victims
To swoop on at first sight.

Night-time is the right time
For malicious atrocities,
Hiding in sewers by day
In almost all of our great cities.

Out of the sinister darkness
Death comes slowly crawling,
As in the windless atmosphere
Night Gaunts are loudly calling.

Beneath the cursed streets
Burrowers are zeroing in upon,
Any hint of movement above
Before the chance to kill is gone.
