Lost Love

When you smiled that smile and
dashed those eyes in my direction,
was it fate?
What it real?
Questions of abundance but no answers in sight.

I fell in love with who you made me to believe you were.
I never knew you, like I should have from the start,
the whole truth.
You deceived me, Lead me on....
Then.....You dropped me.

As if I was a rag doll you picked up on occasion,
when needing comfort.
I was your game, your toy.
A Lost Love.

I guess we'll never know what could have been,
for we never knew what we were,
just existing together, as two broken people
stacked against the odds, with no plans for the future.

You will always be my Lost Love,
a love I desired....
Yet lost.
My Lost Love

I am 19 years old, and I have been through some losses that most teens won't have to go through untill they are much older. My Dad passed away in a truck accident in 2003 and three years later my Mom was taken from me by cancer. It has been really rough so far,me dealing with my depression and just learning how life is all on my own. But I am strong and I will pull through this period in my life. In the end it is all about what i learned and i know i will be seeing them again. more…
