Liken to Heartbeat

Scourge these thoughts,
desires to worship a body,
a physical attendance of love;
I’ve never had that.
Can you understand
this aching in my chest, I can feel this
deep in my stomach somewhere.
It’s killing me.
Can you understand
this desolation of my mind,
a visitant to the organs made for craving.
It is an execution.

Let me roll my soul against you.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood:
I am both,
these are opportunities and failures and
everything in between.
I have such a fire in my lungs,
and yellow woods are probably
flammable.
Which I’ll bet you a man who’s last name
is “Frost” didn’t think about.
I am both.
These are opportunities and failures and
a turning point;
can you understand
this tired repetition, as I am starving
in so many different languages
for something so far out of my control.
This
is
so
damn
poetic.

Still me,
my beating heart slowly I beg,
here is
just almost full surrender.
