Hope



My thoughts dance around in my head spinning in endless circles
Belief of true happiness fills those thoughts
A heart breaking notion that it is never a reality
Hope such a word to fill those without an ounce of belief
Hope such a word to lift someone from their darkest moments and show them the light
But hope is also such a word that can destroy those with the strongest of beliefs
Those who hope shall fall with no hope of getting back up
Alas we shall all still hope as no matter who you are hope is the most poisonous of beliefs
That everyone is truly intoxicated by

About this poem

I had a random strong urge to write a poem and this is what I have been thinking about I guess
