THIS WORD OF THOUSAND THINGS

It is the word that made a thousand poems
It is the feeling that inspired a thousand songs
It is the sound that echoed a thousand rhymes
It is love, love, all the time

This is the word that joined a thousand hearts
A word so simple, yet holds a thousand parts
This is the word that composed a thousand themes
The single word that keeps you in my dreams

Wrong was I, not to say the same
This magical word, that I longed, which kept me sane
It was a mistake not to say what I feel
But within this word of thousand things I tell you,
I love you, and that’s what is real.
