INSIDE A POET’S MIND

Jason Taopo 1984 (Manila)

Inspirations as quick as the heart
An urge to play an important part
A love which is yet to find
Are things inside this poet’s mind

Battles inside his aching head
Darkness which covers his weary bed
Evils that entices insanity
A mind that stretches to infinity

A dream that has never concluded
Blissful days that were never started
A parting song without a tune
Living all months except of June

This is what goes on in his mind
Things that he cannot leave behind
He is yet to hear his song
He is still waiting for his poem

About this poem

The whirlwind that is a poet's mind whenever he is trying to contain that inspiration and turn it to something he could share with the world.
