TAKE THE LEAP

Jason Taopo 1984 (Manila)

It was very sudden, I know
The way I came in, flowers in tow
Did not expect to fall for you myself
Something that I guess, couldn’t be helped

I know your past was far from pleasing
Where you sacrificed a lot and ended up missing
Your worries and fears indeed have basis
And it’s my aim to pull you out of this stasis

I fully understand what I am getting in to
Success or failure, the options are just two
But it is a risk I will wholeheartedly take
To free us from the emotions that “what ifs?” make

I am not begging for you to reciprocate
Nor to return the feeling at a stunning rate
All I am asking is for you to lower your wall
And give yourself a chance to fall
