oh whiskey river

jody l cooke 2021 (north carolina)

HELLO BARTENDER WILL YOU POOR ME AROUND
THE ONE I LOVE JUST LEFT TOWN
LOOKING BACK ON HOW THINGS WILL NEVER BE
HOW SHE TOOK MY HEART AND SET ME FREE

OH WHISKEY RIVER FEELS MY EYES
OH WHISKEY RIVER NEVER RUNS DRY
HO WHISKEY RIVERS ITS PLAIN TO SEE
HO WHISKEY RIVERS SHE NEVER LOVED ME

AS I SET HERE DROWNING AWAY MY SORROWS
THINKING THAT SHE WANT BE HERE TOMORROW
AS THE ROOM STARTS TO SPIN KNOWING
I M FALLING DEEPER IN
SHE TOOK MY HEART BY SURPRISE FILLING MY HEAD
WITH SWEET TALKING LIES

OH WHISKEY RIVER FEELS MY EYES
OH WHISKEY RIVER NEVER RUNS DRY
HO WHISKEY RIVERS ITS PLAIN TO SEE
HO WHISKEY RIVERS SHE NEVER LOVED ME
