Reflection Of My Affection

There's a wonderful comfort in having a friend,
Who accepts you, and loves you,
And will to the end.
That you show to mankind
Is swagger and bluster
A mask by design
Who knows things about you
No other may share,
Who'll stand and defend you
Anytime, anywhere.
This friend knows triumphs
And knows all your blame
And accepts them as a part of you,
Treats them the same, chooses
Instead to look over your errors
To the something within you
Thats kinder and fair
And, that's just what you are,
A quiet, true friend.
I trust you, and love you, beyond earth's end.
