His Dove
Stephanie Lynn Delaney 1977 (Toronto)
I mess was thrown my way,
A beautiful mess they say,
Something for my eyes only,
To embrace open hearted soulfully.
It was thrown my way for a reason,
Beautiful it was for years,
Meant to be like changes of the season.
I never opened my eyes wide enough,
Although regret lights the fire,
Little girl dreams, now my women desire.
Mistakes made, deception and lies
Sorries don't count, actions do,
A story of love, written by his dove,
Fate brought us together
As God made his plan
To love each other forever in life's hand
A beautiful mess to start,
No one to tare us apart,
Happiness and love floods our hearts.
Our love story never to end.
