At crossroad

Crossroad...

Born as scorpion, awaiting life of beautiful neons
Colours all around, bright and clear
Juggling the lap of grannys, aunts and moms
While I wait desperately to have my sleep on

Into the teenage, I enter the phase
Where my personality goes, I can't trace
Being called adolescent, is what I can't embrace
Hugs, kisses and love, people around brace
While I am oblivious to all, in my chase

Entering the 18, I am at a height
Where I don't care of ' what may' or 'might'
Me,my and myself, becomes my centre point
Willing to chuck my duties but not my rights
I stand fearless and tall, with no one in sight
I am my mentor and I am my very own guide

At 25 , my life takes a turn
Standing at crossroads, my weaknesses I discern
Marriage and career becomes a major concern
While I crave to live fully, for a partner I do yearn
To share my all and be happy, from work when I return

Comes middle age and things get messy,
To shuffle between the kids and the family
Everyday to god , I only make a plea
To give me some peace and make me feel fine
At this crossroad I can only  whine
To chose life for all or for mine..

As the hair turns grey, I am still a prey
Whether to move in herd or fly like a bird
Whether to laugh out loud or let the silence hound
The choice should be mine, not of people around
To listen to the heart and not to noise that surround..
