If I Marry A Poetess

Abas Obot 1994 (Akwa Ibom State)

If I marry a poetess,
I would be so glad,
To turn my heart into a parchment,
And make my blood her ink,
I would give her some roses to beautify her lines,
And pure wild honey to sweeten up her rhymes,

In the full moonlight,
We would read and write,
Both Ballard and lay,
Then I would get her laid,
I would touch her sensory spots,
To inspire her thoughts,

My heartbeat would be her rythm,
And my love her songs,
She would forget her pen,
But love all night long,
Until the new dawn,
We Begin another day..
