Time is funny

Ronald Woods 1965 (Los Angeles)

I am like any other.

Difficult picking me out of a crowd.

My voice does not ripple water

Am no less proud.

I stand on my own

I know who I am.

Have spent a lifetime honing me.

I now am called sir

Asked if I need any help.

Now glasses focus the blur.

Some say time moves faster.

The longer we are here.

Am always catching up.

I do not fear the time that's left.

Nor what's been wasted.

Or how full is my cup.

Too many Jokes, not enough time.

Watching times relentless attack.

Sometimes I laugh so hard I cry.

At a hearse with a luggage rack.

About this poem

The older I get I find myself going to more and more funerals instead of weddings. I did a little writing about how I felt.
