Love Remembered

        Our love is as we had confirmed.  Its splendor for us alone, kept safe within our hearts each minute.
Never to be denied its destiny.  Sacred, not bound in flesh, carried on by our spirit into time infinite.
I remember our love a thousand years ago and a thousand more to come, you knew it to be true, unyielding to time never to be broken in two.
Gone is the physical sense for us, yet our love will never be taken away. While our spirit sleeps our love will remain forever and a day.
Long ago our souls were united as one, with vows that would be unbending,
The essence of our love remembered, forever the depth of its beauty unending.

About this poem

Wrote this years ago in 1998. Contemplating marriage at that time. Reflecting on infinite love.
