CRUEL CHANGE

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

A cruel change brought upon us
By cruel people in high places,
Trying to control the peoples’ minds
Committing endless disgraces.

Cruel change of political correctness
Which has no right to be,
Cruel orders from up in Canberra
To outlaw democracy.

Freedom is no longer a given
It is no longer allowed,
Individuals are not tolerated
We have to fit in with the crowd.

Cruel pollies using mental torture
To keep the people cowered,
Cruel people up in Canberra
Abusing their political powers.

A cruel wind blew through Canberra
Leaving icy, heartless fiends in control,
Unthinking, mindless dictators
Without a conscience or a soul.
