Throwing Money On A Wound

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Throwing money on a wound to heal it,
Remains to be a reliable activity...
When people fear the cause and expect,
Money will correct...
What a tourniquet to have needed,
Would never eliminate a pain felt to feel.
Or the blood still flowing through pages,
Of re-written ancient history.

Once money to reveal it,
Turns a frown upside down to see...
A smile on a face no one mistakes,
Noticeable eyes fixed unblinking. Staring!
As preparing to dance joyfully. No!
To the sound of music?
Someone is not feeling this beat.
Or connected to the rhythmic heat of it.
