Hope
The grayish sky cannot abstain
Even damper my effluent spirits
An inkblot DYE on my skin
WILL NOT even sink below my heart
An effervescence I cannot contain
It produces an ebullient shine
That dulls the dusty and grimy grit of it
The uneasy and untoward that lies in the pit
HOPE lies in the darkest of monastery
Away from prying eyes and eager ears
Yet grayish stormy skies cannot wash away
The glimmer of sunny days EVEN
If words are absent in expressing
The value IN the sum of our parts
We have power over this grayish sky
We can tell it to move on
Get going and open our TINDER hearts
And give A smile to someone
Even if they feel they are in a BOX
