Outlandishness

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

The craze. Madness.
And utter nutless of it all.
Makes for an outlandish recipe.
For a disgusting taste.
That guarantees to leave minds sickened,
With no one left...
Capable to prove,
Their mental state of mind has not been...
Distorted beyond,
A consciousness to claim normal.

'And who in their right mind,
Dares to want it wished to be...
A survivor of such outlandishness.
With that to live through.
Then considered to believe left normal?'

'No need to fear.
I've got just the remedy and cure.
Here,
Take this.'

'A music box?
And rose colored glasses?
What do you expect me to do with them?'

'I'm giving them away.
Until the economy stabilizes.
Now...
If you want to be accepted as normal?
And want it believed,
You have not been affected by the craze?
Wear those glasses.
And carry that music box wherever you go.'

'To prove what?'

'That you have not been affected mentally,
By the outlandishness of all the nutness.
Geessshhh.
You want me to spell it out for you!?
