The Last Dance

The sands beneath our feet so warm
The tides from the ocean so strong
The deep blue sky with stars bright
I could kiss you, right here, all night
But as your favorite song starts to play
You grab my hand, “let’s dance”, you say
With a tear in my eye and smile on my face
I get up for our last dance with grace

Now holding you that close to me
I feel so far and detached to be
Future could try to build together with thee
Only if that chance you wanted with me
Living in the moment was just a thought to be
It wasn’t something for us, I now can see
With the boundaries of friendship you have laid
I dance helpless with thoughts you engraved

Nothing good lasts forever with me
I’m good but not good enough, u see
I hoped you could let your guard down a bit
Feel what I feel and let your heart uplift
Our today itself is uncertain and wild
If you liked it, could have tried make it a future worthwhile
Now dancing here on the beach so white
Your last dance with me, is a pitiful site

As we sway together to the music here
Its words don’t even reach my ear
The look in your eyes keeps me sunken
Smell of your skin leaves me drunken
This sweet tingling could still last forever
But you’re not contend with things however
Your journey now continues for finding the new
I shall keep dancing this last dance, waiting for you

I always apologize for the length of my text as that’s the best way for me to communicate rather than verbally!! Not a man of many words but still manage to doodle when in mood to write, which is rare!! I am not even sure if what I scribble is poetry or even what form or just words that rhyme!! To me writing is an art, a sign of creativity and a means of expression. I don't really think that anyone can just write without any feelings, without having felt, without having lived, experienced or cherished. Whatever one writes, there is some amount of a persons own feelings and presence or of those around them, indicated in the works. So I am thankful to all the people in my life and those yet to come for having given me life, love, happiness and even pain. At-least I have had the opportunity to feel it , live it and express it, whatever it maybe. Cheers! more…
