Wrong

Carrie Zis 1981 (Narrogin)

I tried to hard, I stayed  to long
I should of walked, the first time you did me wrong
I wanted to believe in the beautiful lies
The ones that I still think about and I still cry
I’m Missing the pretence  I thought you were
Finding out the hard way it was just your lure
I know you don’t even realise or see the truth
But I had weeks to look in the mirror at the bruises
I have changed so much in so many ways
But the hurt is real at least I have good days
We are both at fault, we both played a part
I should have listened to my instincts and not my heart
