The Window

Douglas H. Mc Clintock 1934 (Sarnia, Ontario)

I look out my window everyday
And what do I see ?
Black birds and squirrels wanting to play
And on yellow flowers I see the bumble bee.

In the morning the sun shines in.
It always gives me a smile within.
A windy sun gives us shadows with a grin
If only for a short time, I thank the sun !

But green is the color that sets the stage.
Remember, when we had  lots of clover ?
All living things have  a required age
In clover to find four leaves like no other. ( 4 leaf clover was for good luck )

Maybe a Monarch butterfly or a sparrow so grey
And rain showers to set the pace.
There are many things that make my day
To make window gazing, a real place.

To see two lovers walk hand in hand
And on their face that says it all
Smiling, talking ,whispering and joking, can we understand ?
That love is never ever really dull ?

Guys and gals walking their dog on a lease for sure.
Your window will be different than mine.
But all of us window gazers can be assured.
We are blessed to see and hear a moment in time ?
