Moment

Dr. Venugopal C. K 1968 (Thiruvananthapuram)

The fluttering wings and
the murmuring breeze
leaves me in trance.
The dawn freshened by dew
seemed something anew.
This moment I cherish though
its gone in a wink.
Live the moment fully
live the moment truly
These words rang clear and loud.
Live the moment and be live
for life is all about being alive.
Live the moment like a prayer
sang the merry bees in a choir.
Like a wisp of fresh air
came thoughts so clear.
Its all within says those wise and old.
True to say the least
Live the moment like never before
for this moment will be gone for sure

About this poem

The poet describes the moment. To be more precise the present. It is fleeting. It is here right now. So live it fully. Based on the Zen Buddhist ideology on living in the present without looking into the past or worrying about the future
