You were my time

Times were there, I heard your voice,
Seconds were there, I thought of you,
Minutes were there, when you were my choice,
Hours were there, when I was you and you were me.

But thinking of now,
Where's the time?
Nothing seems to halt by-
Maybe trying to take away my tears, far away.
I cry out loud, not to,
They don't listen and continue their way.

Consoling me and advising me to move on
I kept quiet and told them none,
Frustrated and tired of asking me,
Enough they stood, but nothing happy to be seen

I stood and thought, but got no answer
Time kept pondering and commenting,
"She was a curse!"
Crying out loud, I said-
"She was mine and I was hers"

About this poem

This is a poem I wrote when I was just a teenager and had fallen in love with a girl for the first time. It's a bit of an immature poem but it definitely engulfs the wave of emotions that were running inside me at that time.
