One Honest Lie

Imagination everlasting and understood
time tested muscle memory that withstood
back to an active lifestyle engaged
a little bit older a little bit aged
concerned with the flight of the rising
consistency level headed and surprising
shaving the strokes off like butter
artistic detailing nature with the putter
self enlisted and chasing a dream
a selfish rebels game without a team
hazards bountiful beautiful layouts
one stroke of luck 11,000 to 1 pay outs
localized tournament players gauging
other talents competitive and upstaging
digging deep spin divot maker shots
small distant flags placed in smaller spots
challenging yourself skills you've amassed
rhythmic swinging motion club ball passed
a 4 inch hole in the surface of the earth
trophy mantle reminder practice and rebirth
