Pawning Shopper Love

Diamonds and stones of affection
tons of rock picking perfection
more than symbols of unity
cross-connecting an open ended opportunity
history mystery do us apart
doomed from the very start
keeping all that I brought to you
lying side by side until it became true
highs and lows and not wanting to leave
mistrusting in togetherness we believed
game playing light-hearted fun
third lover enters the ending has just begun
gaps in togetherness separating foes
expectancy honor and trusting bitter woes
separation anxiety reality checking mate
dispelling words connotations that create
keepsakes shoebox triple key locks
hating each other and stones turning to rocks
soul mate searching in the pools
who wrote this book and invented the rules?
