Sacred Dreams

Nightmares horizontal and alone
through the darkened night, barely known
open-minded cluttering brewed
just when, will these nightmares conclude
pieces of fragmented notions
nerves with different emotions
no matter how I defy
somewhere in my mind, I cry
waking into wonder, darkness may destroy
hours of eyelids closed, inevitably to annoy
sleeping occurrence or what should be
inside the dark recesses of me
trying mental edges with tracks
filling in where there are newer cracks
lying within the fortress of fortitude
older, as younger desires renewed
dug in the dreary trench to find
pieces of a talent to be refined
sacred dreams, your the only one that dares
sacred dreams, no one, really shares
