Elf Maiden

She dances, swirling
Swaying to the music
That echoes through the forest
At one with the trees

Keeping pace with the stream
In rhythm with all creatures
In harmony with the cosmos
Her silver hair shining in the moonlight
Her emerald eyes shining with delight
Her arms raised to embrace the night

Calling forth the Goddess
Invoking her protection
Celebrating her blessings
Promising dedicated devotion

Dancing awake a dream of Purity
A dream of Unity
A dream of Love
A dream of Peace
A dream of Magic
Would that we Humans could do the same.

Carla J Suggs

Masters in English/Creative Writing Currently writing several tales, one of which is the beginning of a science fiction series. I also write YA, romance, and fantasy; not necessarily in that order. I used to be an active poet on the old site. Luckily, I saved my poetry before the site tanked. I'm going to assume that all records of awards, publishing, and mentions are gone as well? A pity. more…
