Analysis of Trite Expressions

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

What words can be said,
To those whose lives...
Have been victimized.
By lies told?

'I understand how you feel.
But don't forget,
Wounds upon those inflicted.
Done to appear as they will to show.
Someday...
They just may go away.
Not to be noticed at all.
And no one will know,
How long it took you to heal.'

'Thank you for your comments.
I'll keep that in mind.
The next time my doctor,
Prescribes my pain medication.
And I am at the pharmacist,
Insisting...
I am exempt from paying a co-pay.'

'Well...
Thank God you appear,
As if nothing at all...
Has affected your mind.'

'You have no idea,
How grateful I am...
To leave that impression with you!
God is so good.'

'All the time.
Enjoy your day.
And remember...
Blessed are the ones,
Capable to forgive and forget...
All the B.S. to them done.'

'You have no idea,
How God keeps me reminded.
In ways,
I can not find the right words...
To make them understood.
So I keep my mouth shut.
That's how good I know God is!
