Analysis of Our Lovely Enmity

Ruchika Mohata 1995 (West Bengal)

He is a crazy head who talks nonsense, day and night,
Always ready to leg pull, tease, irritate, annoy and fight.
To all my serious questions, he is ready with his silly replies,
It’s strange, I still turn to him when I need some sane advice.

Even when I am tired and worn out, he ruthlessly orders me to make him tea,
But when I am upset, he comes up to me and asks, “Want some Cold coffee?”.
Then he takes me for a long drive, away from all my worries and stress,
Plays motivational and cheerful songs, making sure I return home fresh!

He makes sure he listens to all my cribs, rants and raves,
He understands about the things that my heart craves.
He knows the little things I like and will anyhow bring them to my plate,
He loves me a lot but he’ll always show me how much he can hate.

He knows from distance when my tears are being controlled,
He’ll just be there, fight it out, without even being told.
You know, brothers will leg pull you but will never let you fall,
They’ll always be there, only at a distance of a phone call.
