Analysis of Before I Go
Bobby Lynn LOng 1951 (Maryville)
Before I go, I’d like one more dream ‐
Of places I haven't been and haven't seen.
Maybe of things I have yet to do ‐
Or maybe an old dream that didn’t come true ‐
And all your dreams are stored away ‐
Some take wings, and some just fade ‐
Until we’ve used up all our dreams ‐
Of being wealthy, or rock stars or kings ‐
And life is ending and time grows near ‐
And the end is filled with regrets and fear ‐
Before I go, I’d like one more dream ‐
And maybe there’s one more song I could sing ‐
So, before I go, I’d like one more dream ‐
Of things I‘ve seen and not gotten to do ‐
Before I go, I’d like one more dream ‐
Just one more, or maybe two ‐
