Analysis of 2020/09/21 ~ Rage
Cheyenne Seaman 2003 (Philadelphia)
I feel so full of rage,
Can't nothing control it!
I dig down deep inside
Praying for escape.
I feel the lava flow,
I feel the fire's flame.
I feel it in my heart,
I know it's burnt my soul.
The fire won't be quenched,
Man, it won't go out.
It protects my heart,
It's what keeps me whole.
The flame, it was my paint,
My body the canvas.
It burned its way into
My soul every day.
Unquenchable anger,
Unquenchable rage,
The only thing I knew,
The flame I lived by.
I put it in a bottle
And set it in the sea.
It carried out a message
For the whole world to read.
Love, he broke my heart.
Joy, she let me down.
Fear, he got me hurt,
And Envy's got me burnt.
Anger, bold and true,
Rage unquenchable.
They've never let me down,
The smoke's always held me up.
I never knew the truth,
Never knew what was right.
This unquenchable flame
Keeps me up at night.
Fire, so eternal,
Sent out with the tide,
Here lately it's been growing
And growing deep inside.
Rage's flame is all I feel,
I'm drifting out to sea.
I can't help but wonder,
Will the flame consume me whole?
